Are you stuck on the escalator of life?
It’s weird, right? In every way, life moves forward. We go to bed, when we wake up, it’s a new day. We have a birthday and turn a year older. Most of us work at least 8 hours a day and we hope that we have something to show for those 8 hours at the end. At yet still, most of us are still searching for something other than what we have in life. We’re thinking about the hour ahead of us, the next day, heck, the next year- always SEARCHING. For what?
Typically, we’re searching when we feel stuck on the escalator we call life that keeps moving and yet, we still find ourselves in the same place.
What holds us there? Our mindset!
We’re leading with our mind instead of listening to our bodies. Our bodies have a knowing, a wisdom that’s different than the minds. That knowing in our bodies is our true self. The self before all the gunk took over and created its place in the mind. How does this happen?
Well, when you were younger, you were told stories about who you are, who you should be, how you should behave and how you shouldn’t behave. Not all is bad, but it matters what your young mind did with the information. What part of yourself was told it’s not ok to be? Like, maybe you were always told “you’re too much” growing up. Or maybe you got the message that “you’re the good one”, so you have a lot of expectations to live up to. Or maybe you were constantly reminded of “how different you are” because you weren’t like your parents or your siblings. These are just examples. These messages are painful as a child, heck they’re painful as an adult. We just know how to manage the information a little better as an adult.
These are the stories that keep us stuck. You see we’re seeking out people in life who can heal these inner child wounds. Have you heard the saying “people come into our lives as teachers or as lessons?” It’s true. Both are there to highlight our shadows, which are our insecurities. Our insecurities typically come in the form of a mindset saboteur and or inner critic. That inner voice that takes charge in the form of a knee jerk reaction, which takes us out of alignment with our higher self.
The idea is to get expanded enough so that when test’s arrive and they will, you can be more in tune with the body’s knowing and recognize what you’re being tested on. Such as, setting better boundaries, shame, embarrassment, self-worth, staying aligned with your own values, etc.
A life coach is great at helping you uncover your shadow and understand the inner work you need to do in order to get unstuck! Your coach is your personal trainer for your mind. It’s called mental fitness. I like to add the body to this since it’s the main keeper of our true self. When I work with a client we spend a lot of time reconnecting back to the body through our work, because naturally everyone wants to answer life’s questions with the mind. WRONG!
If you’re looking to feel your own ALIVENESS, to stir up the GUNK and become a well-balanced VIBRANT human being- well, I’m your gal! I’m the rebel you need on your side to ignite your inner fire so your life can SPARK once again.
